Joined the Nismo S-Tune Club

Got my S-tune last week, installed it on Saturday. Drove for a couple days with the short tips. Had a little bit of drone in the cabin, but nothing unbearable. Also had no issues at all with the heat on the bumper. Drove it around town, to and from work, and 60 miles to the exhaust shop to have them modified. Went up to Ballistic Motorsports in Bow, NH to have the extensions done. The only place around I was able to find that did TIG welding. Thanks to Ege for discovering this place. Guy did excellent work, and was a cool dude. Its amazing how much nicer tig welds are over messy mig welds. Only problem I have now is that it sounds SO sexy under load, that i can't keep my foot out of it. At idle and cruising speed it is very tame, and most people wouldn't even notice a difference until you stand on it. Overall I am incredibly happy with this purchase, probably my favorite mod to date. Happy to say I am now part of the club. Here a couple phone pics to hold you over until I can get some good ones. Why did you do straights over a bend in the back? A bit cleaner that way.

Theshop didn't have a mandrel bender. I wasnt able to find any place around my area that does mandrel bent pipes. He uses off the shelf bends on other custom work that he does. So it really wasn't an option to do all one piece, although i would have loved to have it that way.
 
Looks good! I thought you wanted my exhaust :tongue: Now I'll have to find somebody else local for the APS... :tonguey:
 
I would highly recommend it. The tone is absolutely gorgeous. I can't even get over it. Even the beamer guy at my work who always gives me shit for modding cars that are already beautiful gave me the thumbs up, and he's a tough guy to please.
 
AaaaAhNismo... Can't wait to get a few other mods out of the way so I can focus on one of those...LOL. congrats!! Enjoy it
 
Just curious... how much did the guy in NH charge to extend the tips? I will hopefully be joining the club as well and may have to go there. Used to have a 350Z and I always regret never buying the Nismo.
