Anyone selling or know where I can get the best deal on used/new GTSPEC strut bar for my suspension.

This is the best price I found:
http://jbkperformance.com/gtspec/gtspec_strut_tower_bar/gtssus1323/i-233568.aspx

and does it really help the suspension that much..I bought my FX a week ago and it got bumpy all of a sudden, i duno wat it is tire pressure, alighnment, etc? will the strut bar help improve the bumpiness? Thanks:.smile:

I think it sort of comes with the car... I don't believe anything is broken on the car. FX is meant to be sporty and it was a bit bumpy when I bought it.

For me, changing to H&R springs alleviated the bumpy ride just a bit, but it's still bumpy when you hit a dip or whatever.

There is a chance that your struts are done? KYB struts?

Z1performance and there is another company on this site that may be able to get one for you. Just do a search for GTSpec. Is your ride bumpy or just bouncy in the front from the stiff suspension? A STB has been known to help out and make the struts/shocks do more work, thus decreasing the bounce in the front. Worked for a friend of mine who lowered his magnum and the auto began to bounce due to the stiffer suspension, he bouth a STB and it fixed the bouncy problem.

I've had STB on my car for awhile (over 2 years)... and I notice no difference on the stiffness.

When I put in my STB and GTSPEC braces I noticed a less jolting ride down my alley. Seemed like the FX absorbed more of the rocking and I did less.

i think it's psychological... but then again, you may be more sensitive to changes

Only thing I notice is less SUVish feel when I take a harder turn. In fact I feel less body roll on the FX than my other cars with much lower center of gravity.

I only have 19k miles and its a 2007 fairly new..but a notice bounciness on local streets. So should i get gtspec braces too along with the strut bar what does the brace do im confused. So does anyone have any cheaper deals ? Toncruse can u link me can't seem to find it. Thanks guys

None of the bars will help with the bouncing. The bars help body roll. Bouncing I would check tires/struts.....see themerchants post.

Thanks for the info but once again what do the gtspec braces do? should i get them along with the strut bar? And does anyone have any good deals on there?

STB for bracing the top of the Shock tower so the body will flex less and have the suspension do more work.

Front lower brace does the same but for the lower mounting points

4 point brace, to stiffen and reduce body flex during hard cornering

rear ties bar and read lateral bar are to also help reduce body flex from the rear during hard cornering.

you really dont need the GTSPEC braces and only will "feel" the difference when you drive it hard on corners.

I kinda just type this from what I understand about the braces, but you can also get more info from GTSPEC's website:
http://www.gtspec.com/index.php?nav=products_category&cat=153
or better yet call them and ask for KEN.

Good luck ordering them since they have to "special" order the braces for our cars.

Guys I can't speak from my own experience, but my good friend modded his magnum, suspension, wheels, tires and he was advised by a tuning shop in the Philadelphia area to add a STB to help with the bouncing and it worked. Now the car was new and the mods were new. All l know is he was bouncing before the STB but after he wasn't. Since it not an FX I could only say "STB has been known to help".

These braces connect at different but crucial points in the suspension setup. By connecting these points the braces distribute the applied forces evenly to increase responsiveness and predictability and in the case of the FX it would increase oversteer.
