is there any way to take off that chrome strip that says INFINITI?
because i want to take it off and spray paint it black but do not know how to take it off
and for the INFINITI logo do i just use dental floss for it like how you would for the FX35?

Search here. The I N F I N I T I on it is part of it, not individual pieces. You have to sand it down if you want to get rid of it. Somebody already did this, took it off and sanded it down and then painted it black.

There's even a DIY / How-to on this somewhere...

yea and i need a new one -_- my stupid brother closed the garage door and it mainly scraped and cut a big line down the trunk -_- but the most damage is on that part

In the manual, there's a rear hatch assebly for how to remove the chrome strips, from there you're set.

i think you just answered your own question. there isnt any technical advantage, of course, but it does look more symmetrical. rookie doesnt even have front wipers. a friend of mine just got a Z and it has the rear wiper delete also.

I was planning on making and selling a ton of these things to Z guys. The problem with theirs is it has to be color-matched to the body paint. Ours is simple black due to the location being on tinted glass. Needless to say I never got around to it, but I did it for mine and I haven't had the rear wiper on for quite some time now.
