A bar for Infiniti FX35/45 '03-07

I bought this off ebay. I don't think this is the exact same as the Romik:

It is stainless steel, and I put it on the scale: 20 lbs. It doesn't block the Laser for the brake/cruise feature. Installation would have been easier if it wasn't so cold.

Not 100% sure how I feel about this, but I put it on to prevent any more dings to the front of my car (parallel parkers). One person just backed up into my car and cracked my license plate holder, but that was it. There are 4 mounting brackets, I only used two bottom. The top two bolt onto the frame where the radiator is. If that get broken, that's big $$ to fix. It's sturdy enough with the bottom two main brackets and I did a test drive and it's on there good.

It's a tight fit with the plastic undercover. You have to remove it and bolt the brackets on. I did a little plastic trimming on the edges of the cover to make it easier to put on/off.

i think this would match even nicer on a black FX because the chrome would accent it better:rofl:

I can completely understand the need for this given I also live in Chicago and understand peoples complete disregard for others property when driving in the city. But I'm not a fan of bull bars on the FX from an aesthetics standpoint.

you really should put the upper brackets too... that thing must be bouncing around without them & it'll push in real easy without them too...

You're right... as usual.

But my fingers are so cold!!! I'll put the upper bracket on tomorrow. Unfortunately I have to loosen all the bolts as it didn't line up exactly when I just tried it tonight, so need to shift the bottom brackets a little. I should have attached everything then tighten.

The looks is growing on me, I think it "works" in the winter for some reason...

I've watched people back into my car while I'm standing there paying the meter. It's so slight that it doesn't do any damage, but still.... Some people just have no idea how to parallel park. They jump the curb and come back down backing into cars.

def works on the fx depending on wheels & stuff. I always liked the sleek one that was first used on the ml's, just one SS hoop much like yours but without the crossbar & even a bit more compact. only problem for me is I just look at my fx as more of a big fat G, couldn't bring myself to do the whole bar thing, but they do look cool on some setups...

I just got the same bar off ebay. Does anyone have a pic of the upper brackets in place? I have no idea on those things go on and the instructions, or lack thereof, don't offer much help

Nice to see another option, but I dont see what was difficult with the GTSPEC inserts. Thought the design & install was very cool with that tool. Ya need an airgun though, & ya, those are the same GTSPEC mount points.

I'm guessing the bull bar *might* tightening things up in the front a little since it is the same mounting points. I used an impact to tighten so everything doesn't budge. You can still put the 4 point brace I think.
