Kind of last minute. Here are some pics from the trip.

We decided to visit the rest of the states of the western United States.

We left Thursday afternoon and arrived at our destination about 20 hours later Friday morning.

rookie drove solo the whole way and I had a friend, Ryan, drive along with me and he drove twice for about 5 hours total.

I can't believe we did another crazy road trip after just one month since our Seattle trip.

Here are some pics so far.

Enjoy :driving:

We are here for a car show - http://www.exceleratorcarshow.com/
and have hooked up with some other friends that traveled here as well.

The funnest part of the trip was the short trip through Arizona. It was for only about 50 miles, but 12 of that was through the canyon. Our average speed through there was at least 90mph.

We went from temps of -107- in Las Vegas to temps of -27- in Montana within 12 hours. Damn that is a 80 degree difference. :eek3:

Both of us were taped up really well, I just didn't take any pics of it. You can see in a couple of shots through the windshield the tape on my hood.

Yes, we did go through St.George.

States that we have traveled through this year : California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Idaho.

Made it back home safely Monday afternoon.

The show was a very nice show, there were about 200 cars there. Most of them from Idaho and Washington and some from Canada.

The people at the show were very nice, it was great talking to so many people.

Here are some pics from the show.

Enjoy.

Original thread here. http://g35driver.com/forums/picture-share/242733-another-road-trip-rookie-caskyline.html Randy did the commentary. I was just trying to stay awake driving. lol

I spy yellow calipers.

I would pass out from all that driving. I recently drove up to Portland and Washington... I now quit long distance driving.

Man.... Notice the callipers......

That was a long drive.. Might need to get your blood preasure checked Viet... those Rockstars are going to catch up with you ...

Driving is fun. Love takin the twisties on the highways.

That pass through AZ from NV is FUN!!!!! We exceeded the speed limit! Flyin up to Seattle today to pick up the FX. Driving down to Pleasanton tonight for HIN this weekend.

I saw them calipers too!
some Nice cars there at the show.
Do they mind you coming out from nowwhere & stealing the spotlight & the trophees?

The promoters were happy to have us there. They want to elevate the show to attract more cars from neighboring areas. The locals, well I spoke to a judge from the show and he got some "words" from some other competitors about us. 4 cars we took 27 trophies.

Will look at the odometer when I pick it up. I don't usually look at it much unless it's for gauging mpg from tank to tank on these trips. 400 or so is what I get on the highway keeping it under 80. lol

Pegged my speedo going through Montana in the middle of the night. Camp2 shows intake air temps. When it was 27 outside air temps were 35 so I let it loose! No incriminating pics though.

Well, it stops at 160. lol, but keep in mind my tires are shorter than stock. Unlike when I posted the 155 shot. With speedo correction it showed 146 on the Camp2 as the peak for MPH.

Impressive . . that is the 160. But not so really with Camp. Could it be off?
What's more impressive is the no-ticket run you had :top:

Ride felt great. I recently put in shorter bags in the rear so I could ride at a lower hreight and still maintain a good amount of stiffness. With the bags the more air in them the stiffer the ride. Riding under 50% feels a little spongy in the back. New bags are 1.5" shorter so I ride above 50% and still have a good lowered rear which feels good with the body roll.

Camp2 offset is correct. I ran through a couple of those stationary speed signs and it's dead on.

wow, the FX sure ISN'T a trailer queen. Great way to test out parts on those long trips. Do you tape up your ride each time you make those long trips? (why not use a clear bra?)

Representing Cali to the fullest:top::top:

BTW I want to see all those people's faces who see you on the freeway:eek:

Blue tape on the front end, mirrors, end of side skirts, and part of my rear doors cause I kick stuff up on to my self. :embarrassed: Black duct tape on the front end over the blue tape so it attracts less attention.

Randy was behind me, he wasn't gonna be tryin that. I did a couple of pulls on the open road. TS tune FTW. Drives muy bueno.

Opps. I meant Randy.

I would be scared to park my car in any hotel/motel. Aren't you worried about break-ins? I see too many break ins at hotels I contract for. (smash and grab)

But if you have to .... maybe use a car cover w/ lock. at least it will take the thieves a little bit longer.

BTW: Yellow calipers and blue paint, reminds me too much of UCLA:thumpdown: why don't you chrome those babies:bigsmile:
