Well here is the last post that im going to do over the exhaust. I'm going to buy a flowmaster 80 series muffler that is 2.5"in/2.5"out. Do i need that dual 2.5in/2.5 out or what. I'm pretty sure its the dual in dual out configuation but im now sure. Just to make sure before i buy it what part number is the most configured on the fx35. What im looking at is part #42582 but on another thread on here he has part #42583. Which one should i get. Might be buying tomorrow. Need to know

there is part #42582 and it has a configuration where its dual pipes in dual pipes out. Or is the fx configured single pipe into the muffler then 2 out the muffler. And that muffler part # is 42583. That is what im asking. since i dont have 10 posts i cant really post pictures of the muffler or anything or any hyperlinks.

some members install the dual in dual out in the middle where the resonators is. for the rear you will need a transverse style (1 in 2 out) .
As for size, I would do 2.5 piping, so the inlet should be 2.5 out can be anything else.
(if you went with 3" then just adjust what I said about size)
you will need to find out about the PN .

ok i got the part number right and now all i have to do is go to oreilly and pick it up :D thank you guys for your help. when i do get it on i will post a video of the muffler sound

are your doing Y-pipe back or cat back? or just muffler?

I know 626fx has a similar muffler (banks) and he has y-pipe back and it sounds nice and deep.

Probably too much drone in the cabin on the freeways and highways speeds. That is usually the reason people get sick of hearing their exhausts, lol.

Ill take it

If you're talking about mine, its not a good idea. It would be cheaper for you to build your own than for me to ship this one across the country. Just have someone cut the three tubes off the oem muffler and weld them onto the flowmaster. Bing bang boom done.
