Riko newbie here, just put this on and even adjusted as far over as possible the angle bracket is pressing down on the brake (driver side) wiring. Is this a problem, having pressure on those ? Do I need to drop that wiring a bit ? Also notice front end "creaking" noise (can hear at slow speed) on these rotten, bumpy LA streets since putting stb on.BAR2.jpg

Here are installed pics of the NRG NRG Strut Tower brace installed - InfinitiScene.com

Does yours look like these?

Yeah, it's the same, has brushed finish w/ blk/blu NRG logo, got it direct from NRG. they said ask "you guys" about the wires. It looks the same as the pics here, only can't tell if the bar is actually pushing down on the wires.

Hmmm... not sure what you are talking about when you say wiring... perhaps pictures of the problem would help?

There were some wires on the passenger side that I had to move over a bit, but nothing concerning. I'm sure if you move them over you should'nt have a problem.

I didnt have to do anything to the wiring.......mine fit like a charm.

With regards to the creak noise...just open the hood and tighten down the bolts a bit.

Blk conduit

yes, blk conduit from brake compartment passing under angle and over strut tower in The Merchant's photo, it is smashed down by the angled part. I could cut out some of the foam grommet, spacer ? that the wiring goes through to drop it or does it matter if it's pressing on the conduit ?

dumb questions, but double check you have the correct orientation of the brackets (left and right , flipped upside down etc).
Otherwise move that black conduit wire out of the way so it is not pinched by the bar or anything else.

No dumb ?'s

Not dumb questions's, I could be a mechanical moron for all you know. I don't happen to be however. The thing is in right, brushed finish up both sides, right out of box, didn't take apart, just loosened, placed on, adjusted, tightened. I think the wires must just be a bit longer than others as they arc up into the angle and I move them down they pop back up against the bottom of the angle, same placement as yours only major tension there. Guess I'll go shave that grommet down so the wires can sit lower, seems like the most non invasive fix. Didn't want to start cutting up my car w/o checking if anyone else had the same issue.

Pics, NRG "mash" bar

Any more ideas about how to get these wires out of the way ?

first off, I don't think that will be a problem as it is. Since there is no "movement" from either piece during normal driving.

second, you shouldn't start a new thread about the same subject, because we will have a billion (lol) threads if everyone did that. you should just "bump" the thread or add a reply.Im sure the mods will concur.

hope my option helps , maybe others will chime in:angel:
