G37 / FX50 Akebono Brake Retrofit

John has both fronts and rears. I will have fronts as well this Saturday. Rears need an adapter to fit and John got made some for people who'd be interested in the whole kit.. I think he'd post something as soon as he gets the adapters and everything fits fine..

yeah I've had these brakes front & rear on my fx for a while now, I finally ordered the ball joint seats that I designed for these, right arounds the holidays... normal turn around time for an order like this is said to be 20-25 business days but the hlidays caould cause a little extra delay. I've been told I should have them end of jan, begining of feb... they still haven't given me an exact date to expect them but told me that I should have an exact date soon...

once I get these & confirm that my measurements & calculations & design was correct, then I'll offer them to others by the pair. everything else can be sourced from infiniti. there is also an issue with the hub bolts needing to be a little longer for better safer thread engagement, I'll get those specs too but the bolts should be easy enough to source. the final thing is that the ball joint nut itself needs to be different or a beefy washer needs to be used, I prefer the washer built into the nut though for this aplication. again, I'll get those specs too... with these few exceptions this is already a done deal & has been in use on my fx for months now...

 you gotta become more of an apprentice, like soon... I got him learning, got him taking apart headlights, sanding.... he's learning the mods man... even got him to change his own wheel studs for his spacers with just a little help & guidance...

 BBK here I come even if the wheels are: wobble wobble...

(btw john, I called the store where I ordered the spacer and they'll send me a spare 15mm stud for free. great customer service)

been bugging the machine shop for an eta again today, got an answer now of expected ship date to me of feb 10th..., boy do I hope I don't wind up with a huge box of expensive paperweights

OK, I finally received the shipment of ball joint adapters... they look great, they look like they are correct, they look like they'll fit fine, they measure fine. I have to install them to confirm, but I think were finally there. been a good long while with these...

Awesome!! You killing me John!! Now I have to save more money to get this awesome mod!! You go bro !

just spoke to Joe again from infinitipartsusa, working out few final details... these will be ready to go pretty much right away, just need to clarify a few minor details with him about hub bolts & brake line banjo fittings... really trying to get him set up to go with these... also just remembering that there is also a different ball joint nut needed, gonna work on sourcing those too, don't think they need to be custom made, just need to source a correct nut for the aplication... he's going to follow up with me on Tuesday...

hmmm....

1. Infiniti BBK?
2. New acoustic guitar?
3. New pool cue?

shit.............. i need to think. everyone leave me alone. =)

a pool cue??? last good one I bought was like $75, wtf kind are you considering that weighs so heavily on mod decisions?
