No trimming needed there is a cover in the corner that comes out and this sits nice there

no replacement yet, I am still pulling off parts to get as close to stock as possible. I am pretty sure a 2nd gen will eventually be the replacement.
my outer rocker panels are rotted through and my quarters are starting to rust, it doesn't make it worth it to put money in to fix it

Nice. That's work-free weight reduction! Seriously, sorry to see it go. It looks really good and the side skirts complement the front bumper well.
Consider how much $ you would spend on a 2nd gen., say maybe somewhere in the $25-$70k range. Take the middle #, say $50k and just think what you could do to your FX with that amount.
