Yes. Definitely. I hate it. Phone calles are even worse using BT. I've been forced to use the USB port in the arm rest but I hate using that too because it charges as slow as molasses. Its much better than the skipping though.
Well besides Apple providing an adapter for that and the fact the 2010's have has no AUX connection(adaptor for that too) the point is Bluetooth.. Ef those wires..
I bought the Grom BT adapter. It's pretty cheap and it works well. I make and receive phone calls too. I have to crank the volume a bit for calls, but it sounds much better than the factory BT.
I was having that same issue with my iPhone 7.. Bluetooth music streaming worked perfectly with my Samsung Note 4. But with the iPhone 7, the music would keep skipping and I would have to toggle bluetooth setting. I ended up just using the USB port. Even the Bluetooth phone sucks with the iPhone 7
I've also found that iPhone has an issue with my 2010 FX50. Both the iPhone 5s and 6s have had the disconnection issue. Just stops and starts working at random. I guess in some ways its not too unusual given that the BT chip in our cars is the older version; and not sure how welll backward compatible they make the new chips/firmware on the new phones. Wish there was a way to upgrade just the BT module on our cars
I'm joining the club. I am having the same issues both with Music / Phone calls. BT is almost unusable.
I've even had the dealer perform an "update" that did not solve the problem.
Just an update my iPhone 7 is now on 10.2.1 and the problem is worse.. the skipping lasts for about a minute and will come back within 5-10 minutes. Very annoying. Unpaired then reconnected them and the problem is still there...
Man I thought I was the only one having this issue. Ever since I got the iPhone 7 I've been having the same skipping issue at startup. Only happens sometimes though and man is it annoying. Yea we can just use the USB connection but then it charges slow AF. I hope it can be fixed with a software update maybe to the navi system?
It's also happened through my Parrot system, but ONLY with iPhones. You'll usually need to restart the iPhone and it should work fine. Sometimes you'll need to restart it twice if it's being annoying, but that's rare. Thank GOD I don't use iPhones!!!
Anyone have any luck finding a fix for this? I have this bluetooth issue when streaming music and with phone calls.
Are you guys having the issue with both streaming/phone?
