what psi are you guys runnin'?

dealer said 40? doesnt the sticker in the door jam say 32? but i think these ratings are just for added comfort for those old ladies that need the cushiony ride. the FX is stiff already. I think our stock tires are rated for max 44psi so anything under that should be safe...plus you get better handling and milage:laugh:

Just got back from the dealer. They told me I should be running 40.
Had them reset TPMS to 40 warm, so I'm thinking it should settle down to 37. Seems to ride fine.

Any experts out here to give us a definitive on what the best pressure should be for the daily drive?

No expert, but I run 40 psi warm, 36-38 psi cold on OEM Wheels, RH06 tires - 265/50/20. As a disclaimer, no controlled tests done but I noticed an increase from .1-.2 mpg based off the car computer. Ride is not hard.

I remember reading in Nissan Sport, someone was talking about increasing gas mileage for a Nissan Titan and recommended 40 psi as well.

I would think a higher PSI protects the wheel more as the tire has less give. Just be sure to read the manufacturers specifications of maximum psi and don't exceed it.

A lot of articles on the web suggest a PSI a higher than the recommended for better gas mileage, the range differing by article. So as a daily driver, 40 psi warm sounds like a good number. I've had no adverse affects of tread wear, etc... and I check my tires and rotate every 3k miles for free with my oil changes.

I would try to get Nitrogen if you can, I know one tire changer around me that offers nitrogen (at least my friend went there, I haven't).

I'm running 35-36 psi, I do notice mileage increase on higher psi. 40 sounds hard, but I may try to go up a couple of psi to see what the difference is.
