Tire brand recommendations

I'm not as savvy as many are with tire brand loyalty, so I'm looking for feedback concerning tire brands. I bought a set of 22's and am shopping for tires. I *think* I've narrowed it down between Falken S/TZ-04s or Nexan Ro-Hp. Tire size will be 265/35/R22.

I'm looking for input on road noise, handling, reliability, etc. Thoughts/suggestions????

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

read that the falken ziex's arn't so great. and not exactly speed rated for our cars. think it was like H rated instead of V

I'm running Hankook 265/40/22 RH06's and I ran them last winter up here in the mountains in up to 2 feet of fresh snow they did surprizingly well for 22's---

I was running my 22's on the Falcons you want to get.. the handeling was great compared to my current set up...(Look at my Signature...)

If I had to do it again... i would pay up and get the Pirellis or stay with Falcon and get the 285's...

They do good on the road... A word to the wise.. depending on your set up you ride will suffer with the 265's..I love the low profile look... but it kills the suspension..

Hmm... you gave me some good food for thought. I only picked 265's, because that was the size of tire being offered for a particular package. But you're suggesting 285's. Hmm. I'll have to look into that. Thanks so much for the tip.

MTN FX - Hows the ride of your setup?

I like the 285 35 22 setup myself. maybe if I get more money I would get the 305 Scorpions:wink:

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I ended up scoring some Yokohama Parada Spec-X. I also chose 265/40 vice 265/35.

Thanks again for the help.

BTW... I believe Nexan is a derivitive of Lexani tires.

if i was getting new tires replaced from dealership, would you guys recommend the OEM goodyears?
thanks
