the length of a 350z or g35 Y pipe same as fx35 Y pipe?

I just purchased the HKS legamax exhaust and want to buy a Y pipe also. Since my car is RWD, I can use a 350z or g35 Y pipe right? But I just want to know do I need any extension to the Y pipe? Because when people use a 350z or g35 exhaust, they need to add extension. Is it becasue the Y pipe is shorter or the mid-pipe?

I am considering at the Kakumei Y pipe and the 350z Y pipe is $100 cheaper than the fx35 Y pipe.

Mid pipe is shorter on the G and FXs, all the Y pipes should be the same length.

Its best to try and match pipe diameter with other sections of the exhaust.
