RPM drop

Hey guys, I think I have a belt problem.
When I press the gas, and let it go it drops down as it should but then jumps up slightly then back down to normal... Any input on this?

I dont think it has much to do with your belts, something related to TPS (Throttle positioning sensor) or maybe ever MAF..maybe try reseting the ECU, might help or even the throttle learn procedure. Thats just a rough idea..but then again what the hell do i know:rolleyes:

is that when your in park? or while your driving?
because I could be a smart-ass and say "duh, downshifting" but....yeah

Could be an error with ecu coding. My fx used to drop down to almost 0 rpm when letting go of the gas pedal. Had to reset the ecu and problem fixed.

Are you getting a Check Engine Light?
Did you touch or do anything to the Throttle Body?

sounds like a dirty throttle body to me, the surge is the ecu catching it before a stall.... eventually it may get to the point of stalling, I'd check the throttle body for sure...

You can try that.
If it doesnt work, go to a nissan or Infiniti dealer & get the reset done by consult.

The 24 will do the basic reset. The Consult can do a more complete reset. Since you're having what looks like a Throttle Body issue, I'll bet that the dealer reset is what you need.
