RotorPro Brake Upgrade

Hello everyone, this is my first post so I thought I would show my new rotor job. I have been a member of the ORG for a while but never posted over here so I thought now was a good time.

I got (4) cross drilled, zync coated, black center hub rotors and pads for all 4 wheels from RotorPros. I installed them last weekend, bled the lines like crazy and the stopping power is like night and day. I can't be more happier. I will be painting the calipers red with the DupliColor kit in the next 2 weeks.

The total install took me less than 2 hours so it wasn't bad at all. My pops has a shop with lifts, air compressors and any tool I could ever need so that made it much much easier.

Welcome - and the Rotorpros look great.
Did you upgrade the lines to Steel Braided?

welcome, where are you from? and where's your dad's shop at?

Thank You. I did not install SS lines yet, I probably will in the near future. I got a LMS SRI coming this week that I will install this weekend.

My office is right outside Philadelphia and I live about 15 minutes from West Chester Infiniti.

My dad doesn't have a shop for business or anything. He owned his own engine repair shop for 20 years but we closed it down about 10 years ago due to him getting a VP position for Sara Lee.

We kept all the equipment, tools, parts, machines, etc. It's pretty much his and my shop in a 2 car garage at his house. Luckily 2 min down the street from me so I use it whenever I want.

We own 3 Infinitis between the 2 of us and he has an old (I forgot what year) Nissan 280Z 25th Anniversary Edition in there that we are restoring. It's in great condition.

Just got done with mine as well, 4 hours later though. Only problem is I think something is wrong with the right front one. It's rubbing on the the metal plate that sits right behind the rotor. From what I'm hearing it sounds like the fin looking part is clanking on the rotor. I'm about to head back to the shop to look at it again. Hopefully it will stop. If not i'll show you guys what a metel frisby looks like after it hits the ground. :xd:

I'll make sure to add the pic when I'm done. :top:

Well got the problem fixed. It turns out the plate need to be bent back to were it was supposed to be. I guess i did that while trying my best to get the 4 bolts that were rusted.

Here are the pics:

This is the side that was giving me a problem.

SS brake lines will be next. I got to go somewere, when I get back thats the next MOD

On a side note it looks like I will be needing to replace the exhaust soon. I expected it to look a little on the old side but when I looked under there i say it was time to make a change. I guess the MODS will never stop.

Thank you. Yes, I am painting the calipers red. I saw some pics around here somewhere or maybe on the ORG that showed a members calipers painted red but he had INFINITI with the Logo going vertical down the caliper. Looked like they came directly from the factory that way which made the job look much cleaner and stock.

Were do I get this white Infiniti lettering and logo? How does it get applied to the caliper. Anybody have any info on this?

I saw this on ebay, looks very similar to the ride with the logos, just wonder how well they hold up to heat and dust ..etc.

The stickers will hold up.

they are made with 3M heat tape.

Those pictures are from one of our members. His name is Mazzzur.

TrainerKEN has a simmilar version of it and so does Deecarp..

I appreciate the information and the confirmation that they will hold up under heat. I just ordered them. Will post some pics once I get the calipers painted and the stickers on.
