there isnt a diy on how to remove the trunk plastic area right to get to the rear windshield wiper?

I think you want the service manual to see how exactly it all fits together. I think I have the '05 one, but someone on here may be able to better help you. If not, I can always send you pages from mine.

Are you trying to get to the rear wiper or the wiper motor? If it'sthe wiper you just remove the cap at the outside of the glass and unbolt the wiper arm.

haha thnxs stu well talk some more if there isnt a 06 one that someone can give me thxns bro

Checking to see if there is an addition to the service manual. I'm looking for the manual that has the pinpoint info for problems that my come up. I still go the air sound in my car and I'm looking to see if I can test it myself to pinpoint the problem. It's not that I don't trust the dealer, its just i don't feel like paying $1K+ for a repair that might not be necessary.

If anyone can chime in it would be great.

Thanks

I'm not quite following you. What do you mean by additions to the service manual? What problem with the FX are you having?

well i have a copy of the service manual for the FX35. I have an issue with my rack and pinion steering. I wanted to know if they have a manual available to help pinpoint the problem before changing parts. I know the rack and pinion also involves the power steering pump. There was a good chance that the power steering pump was going bad too. I needed to make sure that I was buying the right part before I spent a few hundred for either part.

I have seen other car manufactures that have manuals that help with pinpoint testing. I have also seen manuals that give you every detail of what goes where and how much torque for bolts is required. There has to be a way the Infiniti service tech figures out the problems without tearing the car apart and inspecting parts. I figure they have a manual that help the tech breakdown the problem by running certain tests first.

I'm looking to see if I can get a copy of this so I can be able to run my own test, something I can hold on to for later. It will help now that my warranty is up and I plan on keeping the car for a while. I'm willing to pay for parts but the labor isn't worth it if I can do most of the work myself.

Any help will be great.

You're right that there isn't much diagnosis information in the power steering section of the service manual but there is some troubleshooting information on page PS-7 and testing you can do on your power steering pump on page PS-31. I only briefly looked through the Power Steering (PS) section so you will likely find a few other pages with relevant information.

thanks for the info. I haven't read it all the way. The issue I have is already being worked on and I'm just waiting on parts. I'm hoping that anything in the future that might happen, I can check it myself.

Thanks for your help.:glasses:
