Is this normal?

Hey guys, I had a question.. when I start my FX up I smell gas.

I know obviously I might smell some, but it seems as if it's TOO much.
I start other cars and it seems mine is the most potent.. any thoughts?
 
I've heard exhaust leaks can sometimes cause your vehicle to run rich. Is it shooting out black stuff from your muffler or do you just smell gas?
 
When first starting the FX, the ECM is in open loop mode until the engine warms up enough. Also, it takes a little time for the cats to heat up enough to burn any unburned fuel that isn't combusted in the cylinders. However, there may be a problem somewhere depending on the strength of the smell that may require some diagnosis. You could have another problem like a fuel leak. If there were an evap leak, the check engine light would come on.
 
So this could be normal is what your saying?^
Hyme, no black smoke or anything.. lol then I would know I have a problem
And if there was a fuel leak, where exactly would it leak at? I know dumb question.. but yea.
Front or back?
