Hey guys, not really new ive been reading the forums for a while and finally decided to post.

Man i just saw these rims and i am in love!
vossenwheels DOT com
Vossen VF063 (New members cant post links >_> )

Im looking for rims for my 09 FX35 and i think i finally found them! However, i cant find a retail store selling them online anywhere  and is Vossen good quality rims? Never heard of them before.

Last question, since i have AWD can i get wider rims for my rear wheels, or do they all have to be same width? and also, how do i get the back ones to have a larger lip?

Im going for 22's btw ^_^ 22x8.5 for front and 22x9.5 for the back... hopefully

Im actually leaning towards the VF023. I just saw some pics of the 063 and it looks sort of odd. Like at some angles, dunno how to explain it.

Thanks for the welcomes :)

You're referring to going staggered which can be done RWD or AWD. Look into getting nondirectional tires to make things easier come tire rotation time.

awd is going to require that you keep the exact same outer diameter front & rear, the awd computer will pick up differences in rotating speed if the front & rear tires are different diameters... a very slight difference may not be an issue, hard to say what the exact threashold is of being different enough to be picked up, a minor difference should'nt be an issue hopefully.

don't matter if the rears are twice as wide as the front, only thing that matters is the overall diameter & how many rotations per mile front VS rears. if front & rear are exactly the same in this regard then no issues at all... how much tolerance for discrepancies though? this is still unknown... I'm gambling that a very slight difference is tolerable with a set of stagered that I ordered..

btw those are the cheapest 3 piece wheels I've ever seen, guess they should at least be better than one piece cast wheels...

Thats whats putting me off, cheap 3 piece wheels... Im scared the quality is bad or whatnot. Where did u see the prices? I can only find the normal ones.

So if only outer diameter matters, i can get different width? As long as the tires are the same outer diamater (but wider obviously)

Hmm.... i called them and asked why they dont post prices, and they said its because they dont like online retailers discounting their wheels. Which could be why they are cheap, cuz they already are going for good prices?

one of the links jeff (fxlr8) posted towards the center of his list had prices, 3 piece wheel under $500 is so cheap I'd be concerned a bit myself, but I think I'd still take a chance there over really cheap cast wheels anyway tbh...

most any 3 piece wheel I've ever seen start in the $900 range... these are almost half that... def makes you wonder... 3 piece wheels are usually more expensive for lots of reasons, not necissarily just because the wheel is 3 pieces that bolt togeather, that by itself shouldn't raise costs too much, 3 cast pieces bolted togeather are no better than 1 piece cast wheels if that's the case... 3 piece wheels are usualy more expensive because of the build process, higher quality metalurgy, forged billet centers that are then machined to be a wheel center & spun barrels, hard to imagine these are real deal 3 piece forged at these prices, I'd guess there using a cheaper manufacturing process, which might negate the benifits of a 3 piece wheel to begin with, the benifit of 3 piece is not just so you have bolts around them holding them togeather... can't say much else cause I know nothing of this particular wheel...
