How do I get an updated NAV DVD?

Discussion in 'FX (03-08) - Electronics & Lighting' started by Z33_2_FX35, Sep 28, 2007.

  1. Hey guys, I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had a chance to post. I have a few quick questions.

    • How do I get an updated NAV DVD, 07 or 08 if they have it?
    • Is the stealership my only option?
    • Are there other sources?
    • Are all Nissan/Infiniti NAV DVDs the same?
    • Have anybody ever tried to copy one?
    Thanks in advance!!

    1) http://www.zenrin.com/infinitiSystem.asp looks like they are sold out?
    2) No.
    3) Yes, above link or ebay.
    4) I believe so, depending on the model year.
    5) Yes, it can be done. I believe this is illegal except for personal backup, but don't quote me on this.

New version is coming out next month - thats why its sold out right now.
    03-05 is the 6.X version & the 06-08 is the 7.X version.

Well the reason I am wanting to get an update is because there are many streets and businesses all around the Dallas Fort Worth area that weren't there back in 2006. It's kind of annoying seeing the arrow float along an empty grey area on the map during your drive.

Thank everybody for the response and info.!!

The site said the price is for buying a code. You have to take the code to an Infiniti dealer for install. Anyone know how much the dealer charge for the service?

dj71 the navi doesn't work in Europe at all.
    You may try Carminat .
v28/v29 but it works only with +'06 so try older version.

Old thread, but helped me out. I used this link and it was still $99. Worth it as things have changed A LOT since 2008!

Not worth it. A lot have chang in 6-7 years, not just maps, but interm of maping technology, ect. I would just buy stand alone nav or tablet with nav, it can be update every so offen, I use sygic on my phone and it work just fine, and it didn't need cell signal to work, it store maps in the phone or tablet.

    Sent from my SGH-T999 2
