Heat Shield for LMS Short-Ram???

...just installed LMS Short-Ram and, it looks and sounds great! However, do I need a heat shield to deflect hot engine air for optimum performance? Some say 'yes,' others say 'no.' If so, any recommendations on which heat shield will fit the LMS application?

Not necessary but it does help when you are moving..if you get the stillen style shield that allows cool air to be forced in from under the front of the hood.

Unfortunately I might not be able to make any future meets at your place if you do still have those things... the FX is going to Chicago in a couple weeks and I don't know if I can pull the long-hauler award for that trip... who knows, I might make an exception :4tongue:

It's too bad I never got to go up there with the supercharger... but hey, before long it'll be somewhere around 12 lbs boost instead of the 7 I had :2smile: How's the G and the Soobie?

Frank - - has been a long time!!!! All OK I hope. Actually hosting National G Club Meet at the Hacienda, 12 Jul 08. FXs invited and will be here also - - if there's anyway you can make it, please let me know. Even with no FX, you're always welcomed at the Hacienda - - I know my Son would be glad to see you! Long Hauler - - ha, ha! You actually won the first-and-only Long-Hauler Award. But if you come up again, I will dust off my old awards policy!!!

G has been totally transformed - - the Soobie's nice!!! Got some hot pics of the G; will shoot you PM with link!

Sweet, I might in fact go. I will be driving the FX to Chicago on June 23rd and leaving it there, then I fly back to VA on July 9th, go to work on the 10th and 11th, then I have off until the 16th :6wink:

Hehe... it'll be in my Kia Rio, but I'm definitely down for it.
