Installed the FX35 5AT Performance System Grounding Kit from GroundingGear Ltd.
This is a 10 Wire kit that includes Tranny, ECU, & TCU to ECU wires (but since my '05 RWD does not have a separate TCU (it's integrated with the tranny), just used it as an additional ECU ground.
10 Wire Kit is available for 35 / 8 Wire Kit is available 45.

While the kit is not cheap, it is really good quality.
I've gotten us some special forum pricing. I cannot publicly disclose that pricing as this is an R&D price & we don't want to compete with his retail dealers. The only condition, is that we hopefully post some feedback for him on it's results.
Kit currently comes in 3 colors: Red, Blue & Smoke.
    - PM me for price & how to purchase.

I will admit that I was very skeptical that a grounding kit would do anything for us, but I'm happy to admit that I was very wrong. True, this is not gonna shave a second off your 1/4 mile trap times, but just as others have reported, it does make the FX feel more connected. In that I mean, dead smooth idle, smoother acceleration, better shifts & probably a bit more power (although I cannot document that one).

I like the COCA-COLA color on the Wires...

    thanks for sharing.

Question: Did you do this install yourself or did you have them do it for you?

    BTW.. Cool decal;)

There is no them. The Dude's up in Canada.
Install is pretty straightforward once you lay everything out. My buddy's got a lift which made the tranny wire install much easier.

& ya, the Smoke color has been referred to as Cola color. I'm cool with it . . I was goin for the stealth look. I am the 'Sleeper', am I not?

. . . Got another good NEW 35 mod to share (I'm hoping, in a day or two):biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

OK, this is the issue. Working on the new DaveO throttle body mod. Decided to clean the TB while I was at it, & I believe the butterfly is outa wack & TB motor needs calibration. I've got an uneasy idle, & it seems raised by about 350 rpm. Car also surges as it shifts itself back to 1 at a stop.
I'm going outside right now to try the:
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning & Idle Air Volume Learning reset with the pedals. Unfortunately, Min never returned my 10mm open wrench, so I cannot get the damn battery cable off for an easy reset. My 10 socket is too shallow for the stud. damn Min !! :frown: This is what I get for helping a guy out !!!??!!

I'll get back :mad::mad:time to go push some pedals

Got some longer sockets, battery cable off, & successful reset. CEL gone, for now, did pedal resets for the TB & idle looks about normal, though a tad higher.
    More updates later

Just want to update some info.
For the 45, the System has been changed to an 8 wire, so it will reflects a slight savings over the 35 setup. Gordon says that the absolute number of wires makes less difference than selection of grounding points and other design considerations. There are some knock-offs that offer high wire-number kits where the points chosen make extra wires necessary, or don't make sense at all.

I have all the pricing & order info if you need it. PM me.
