FURIOUS WITH Infiniti of Coconut creek

Well like some of you know, I just took my FX in monday for an issue.


I however ran into a bigger problem, I got home and backed my car in.. Later on I go outside and I notice SOMEHOW at the top of the bumper there are cracks. Like when you back into something. I KNOW for a fact this wasn't there when I took the car in. How? Last Wednesday, a lady hit me in the rear and her license plate bracket left a mark on the bumper. And for those who are aware, there is a plastic piece at the bottom in which is ATTATCHED to the bumper itself. Anyway, since IOCC does not have a body shop, I took it JM lexus accross the street and got an estimate for 1044. REPLACED.

And I thoroughly inspected the bumper when it was hit, and so did the estimator at JM. So now I call back Infiniti, and I tell them the situation.. he says he has to check the records to see who drove it.
Never got back to me.

And what is even worse is that this has not been their first time hitting cars, My mom has a QX56 and she took if for service once, and they ended up hitting the tailgate to bad it had to be repainted. We however noticed too late, and when we brought it to the attention of IOCC, they denied it.
And being my dad owns a body shop, he knows what the hell has been re-painted or not. I will raise hell at the dealership tomorrow. This is ridiculous.

IOCC Sucks, and I will never bring my car back to them.
I posted this for others to be VERY CAUTIOUS when picking up your cars.
 
Didn't they do a walk around inspection of the car? Dude this sucks. Ive been there, just not as bad.

Cerritos Infiniti :mad:pulled the same crap on me..... Cerritos Infiniti sucks the big cheeele (chili):tdown:
 
I had something similar happen to me also. I did a walk around to check the car and saw some scratches, the service adviser blamed it on me.:confused:
I call the next day and talked with the the service manager, much better help.
 
a GOOD dealership will do a walk around of your car when you drop it off and take pics of any damage that was already there. that way they cover their own asses, also if they cant prove they didnt do it then they should have to fix it for you
 
Happened to me also but I did a walk around before I left the dealership and they had the whole rear bumper repainted for me. Someone dropped something on the rear bumper and left a small but noticeable gash.

I did a walk around also and caught the dents they put in my door. The tech admitted he did the damage but for close to a year they just kept pushing me off, not returning calls or telling me next week. I had the dents removed on my own. Did I say this was " CERRITOS INFINITI " :mad:
 
sorry to hear about your experience. i had my share of the fx getting scratches after service as well. i just make a habit on inspecting the car right before i leave the dealership. i usually go straight to the service manager if i find something. last time, they chipped one of the pillar trims while replacing the faded trimming. i didnt see it when i picked up the car since it was dirty from the rain and i requested them not to wash it (always). at first they were suggesting that it didnt happen at their place, and eventually resolved the matter with me.

i also suggest to approach your dealer calm but firm (instead of with anger and attitude). if your service rep is not helpful or cooperative, then speak directly to the manager. last, be sure to detail the issue when you get the survey in the mail.
 
Wow, I'm amazed at how many stories I just read.

It's truly an embarrassment, to be honest that a tech can't even drive a vehicle into the shop, to the car wash, and park it. Isn't it? I even requested them not to wash it, and still washed it. Anyway, my dad just told me don't even bother going back. They still have yet to call me back. What a joke. I will end up having the bumper replaced anyway because of the lady who hit me.
Just unbelievable. I always walk around the car after I pick it up, to check for dents etc... but I just missed it. My car has not one dent, and now after a week the dam bumper has to be replaced :(
 
techs suck (well most of them) I'm 95% sure guy that did pre-delivery inspection on my 09 FX missed the fact a/c wasn't working...
