Does Bose play MP3s?

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Bose system on a 05 FX35 will play a burned CD in MP3 format?

As Long as the mp3 files are not in folders......... I have an 05 FX 35 with the Bose system and I play MP3's everday in fact I am burning a full house mix right now. It works trust me!!!!!

I believe the 2006 and above models are mp3 compatible on CD discs (not DVD's). Since you have a 2005 model, (could be wrong) I don't think it's possible. You might want to look into adding an Ipod gateway/connection. Good luck.

I have an 05 and didnt think it played mp3's.......but then again I never tried. I thought 06 and up played mp3's
 
I have an 05. it's wierd. depending on the mp3's themselves and how you set up the disk the CD willl work. if oyu use itunes the CD will work (if all the songs are from itunes) if they are downloaded otherwise or originally form CDS, they should work anyways.


just use the tape player! haha
 
i have a 06+ FX and it does play mp3 cds. Even if i put the mp3 in folders it will still go into the sub folder and play the mp3 i remember... (not 100% sure b/c i have been using my ipod from now on)
 
I have an 04 and mine defenatly does not play MP3s Burned On a Cd I use Itunes aswell ....I dunno What Im Gonna do but Its Weak
 
I just put an 06 radio in my 04 and it plays mp3s now. my screen has no idea whats going on when its playing a mp3 disc it reads am radio info but the disc plays fine and everything else works the same as before.

are you using the new face plate on your 04 or using the same one?

I wonder if you took any install pics or actual pics?

so and pre 06 radio is plug and play into the 03-05 ?

I am using the 04 face plate, i think thats why the screen dosnt know what to put up when a mp3 disc is inside.

it looks factory when a regular burned disc is inside it throws up a title but the mp3 one dosnt show what track your on or titles but I personally think its worth it.

I work for a dealer so I sent my OG radio to clarion and the guy said the newer radio will work but there could be communication problems with the faceplate.
