We had another meet today out at Adinfinitium's place; Gaithersburg/Laytonville. We did Nav and Ipod mods. Pictures and a write-up to follow. He has a nice area to do mods, warm garage, set up very well with probably any tool needed to do mods. Hopefully we will get more members to meet for mods, coffee, or whatever.

Cool, glad meet ups are starting now!

Hopefully I will actually be in DC and not NY to make it to the next one. I'll bring my clear taillights to mod. Can we start determining future meet dates more in advance for personal planning purposes, etc.?

That should not be a problem.

DMV Meets

Well today was our second meet. The first was me and Toni*toncruse* great guy ton of fun( a little scared of taking things apart from the FXs LOL ) he'll get over that. On that meet we installed his spacer and we started the input while moving nav mod on my baby. We weren't able to finish it but it didn't matter it was a great day. 2nd meet was me, toni and aldifinitum(Bill) great person full of Ideas and who's from now on I will call Mr. ToolMan, seriously he have a hardware store in his house!!! You ask for a tool and like a bloody magician he makes it appear. On this meet we installed the iPod interface for his FX which look pretty nice for being "stock" LOL, it was great we learn alot from it, we make couple of mistakes, fixed them and learn that it's not really a one man job!!!. After that we jump on my nav mod that we didn't finish on our first meet. Boy what a job!!! It's great we took some pictures with Mr.Toolsman camera and hopefully he'll get enough post so he can put them in a thread. Anyways DMV it's making it's way up Lil by Lil hopefully soon we will have a bigger meet. :iS::tup:

Can the administrator merge this thread with Toncruse thread please.

Pretty much the same title..

Meets are becoming easier and easier.. So that should not be a problem, DMVers are trying to be flexible with the dates..

LOL well the more the better I say! But I don't thing you are willing to drive all the way from NY to MD.. But if you are just pm me or tony your info and we'll let you know about our next meet.!

Speaking of HID fogs, Rubare, when you were trailing me last night it looked like your fogs were brighter, white vs the yellow/white. Have you changed them? I remember we were talking about it, but could not remember if you had done that mod.

Hey, you beat me to the post LOL

Glad everyone had a good time, I know I did, I didn't even realize how much time had past until Toni started talking about the NFC playoff game. I even forgot to offer some refreshments, so in the future, just ask me if you get thirsty.

It's a good thing that we met on Sunday, it's snowing (and sticking) like crazy today.

I'll try to get out another post about the mods, one thing for sure about the OEM ipod mod though. It definately was way easier to have more than one person to do it. Pulling the Head unit is awkward and difficult to handle while unpligging the connectors. Rubare, and I definately had our hands full.

Rubare's Nav mod went pretty quick, and his suggestion to put the switch in the blank switch spot (next to the VDC, and Snow mode switches) was a good one. It turned out great. (you can call me Toolman, but I also go by Bill )

Here's a qucik photo of the lineup!

LOL! Well Bill you will be still Toolsman!! LOL. Seriuosly we had a great time. Can't wait to meet up again probably daimon join us too. So we can help him install his tail and head lights, Im working on getting the silver rails and sport pedals so we can do that too. Don't remember I you mentioned that you wanted to do the nav mod and change the incabin filter. If that the case toni needs to do the same, so that should be some mods we could do on our next meet.. Bill I think your place it's the best since you have space for all the FXs plus all the tools LOL. But that decision it's up to you sir.

Just think it over everyone and see what you guys come up with!

Also thank you Bill for all your help!

Ok, you can call me Toolman, just don't call me "Sir":laugh:

I have no problem hosting more mod sessions. I built this place to be as close to the ultimate DIY that I could. Remember, once I get electric in the new garage, then comes the lift. I may may be calling on you guys for some help installing it. I sure could use the extra hands. Those things can be kind of heavy and awkward. Not to worry though, I do have tools that can help with the install too:laugh: Hopefully that will happen sometime in the near future.

Well I'll bet the rest of the guys wouldn't mind at all giving you a hand with the installing of the lift. I would mind at all Mr.toolman.
