Am i on crack? I guess it's probably the no name brand, but i feel like i'm driving with cheap halogen blue bulbs in. This post shows bright white, with a hint of blue. ///2737 , the ones i have suck. any one else? btw, my bro got them for me. Hard to turn down a gift, but dam. I'm either gonna get new bulbs from ddmtuning, or put my OEM ones back in.

Haha, if you don't want them I will take them. I would get DDM though. That's the best comparison between price and quality.

Thanks stu. no help at all. lol. j/k . i'll order the ddm ones's and if they are better, i'll sell you these "blue" ones.

I've bought quite a few from DDM and no issues.

But came across this and impressed with the website and forum:
http://store.theretrofitsource.com/index.php?cPath=27&osCsid=27fc2e3a8c55db3906584f6543773660

Very positive reviews on the internet. D2S bulbs have maximum 1 year warranty, but DDM bulbs have lifetime if you buy them with the kit.

If my D2S ever burn out I'm going to try the retro fit source. I'm running 6000k D2S and 6000k 9006 HID kit.

Very white, with a hint of blue. Not ghetto at all. Light output is excellent.

It's official. I'm on crack. or maybe these Dallas street lights make them look bluer. I guess I'm just used to the OEM's being brighter. The 6000K are not as bright, which we all know. Sorry Stu, i'll probably keep these for a while, and i'll lay off the pipe. EDIT: Crack pipe. hah.

Maybe I will just have to steal them when we test fit the braces.
So they meet your satisfaction now? They look fine.

it's hard to say. They are definitely not as bright as oem. I don't even believe the above pic, and i just took it. The camera setting did have a quick flash before it snapped, so i think it can be deceiving, btw, I should have the Invidia exhaust buttoned up on saturday at 4wheelparts. check out that ddmtuning website. you can get bulbs for $35. My bro got these on ebay for $25. I can't believe how cheap these bulbs have become. But there is a huge difference in the quality of construction vs the oem phillips.

i was thinking about that, but it seems like a pain to access the fogs. I'm also worried about binding peeps on the road.

myl168, the bulbs you have, are they more blue or are they more white?

i'm looking to change my bulbs into a bluer bulb. 8k/10k is not practical for me because im not planning to do hid fogs but i was looking into 6k. I like the ghetto 'blue' instead of the standard 'white' better

these 6000K bulbs are descent. They just aren't as bright is the OEM. They have a blue tint to them. and are not as white as i hoped. i'm guessing that the 8000K and up will be "bluer" than these. if your looking for the ghetto look you should get the 8000K. Although they won't be as bright.

if they were HID kit in a halogen capsule for main lights, yes. But the fogs are so low and can be adjusted that it doesn't bother oncoming traffic.

You just have to drop the bottom plastic cover and you are good to install. No need to remove bumper.

You should do it, the light output is amazing in halogen capsules.

dude, I took these out. I could'nt stand squinting to see further down the road with the 6000K's in. 4300K FTW.

or you can simply splurge and get HID's

6K HL's + 6K Fogs = Love

Plenty of visible light (lumens), you will love it.
