2009 Infiniti Side Vents?

I am thinking about getting blacked out rims and smoking my lights so i wanted to make the side vents black. Do you think that i could take off the side vents and spray paint it black? Do you guys think it will look good? Any alternative suggestions or comments are appreciated.:iS:

i like what that guy did with his side vents. I want to know how he painted it though. Thanks or that reference pic. I really like what he did with his fx
 
Body-matched side vents would look nice. A blacked out grill like he did would help too (IMO)

Since you want dark wheels also, I'd think a blacked-out grill would match perfectly. Black side-vents would work with the dark wheels too though.

I believe he took it to a body shop and asked them to paint it for him and it costed him $200 for the grill/vents
 
yeah I totally agree with u guys. I am imagining my fx with the painted vents because I don't like it with the color they are now. I will post pic soon so u guys can get a better idea of what my fx fx looks like now and how I am imagining it. Its is fresh out the factory and ready for flavor
 
The FX in the picture is mine...It was more like 150 from a bodyshop here in chicago. I love how it turned out, i wish that infiniti just did that in the first place.

Did you leave your car in the body shop to have them painted? or they took the vents out from the car and painted them?
 
I left the car so they wouldn't have any paint match issues. Plus it only took a day, I didn't mind.

But why did you touch your front grill? You already have the sport package on your FX50, right? That grill comes in a darker chrome anyway.
 
Yea, but it wasn't body colored. I wanted it completly black. I have done this with all my cars. I don't like it when people paint the emblem too. Looks ricey. This looks stock with a twist. :)
