Spirited drive today. Feel better now. Out for another in an hour. yay
I spent the whole weekend pouring over my fx's wiring diagrams :tears:
dusted off the car cuz the gardener used a leaf blower on my driverway, polished up the exhaust tips w/ never dull, used scratchX 2.0 on the door handle area to remove tons of fingernail scratches, conditioned the leather seats w/ lexol, used armor-all on the weatherstrips and moldings.
Today my friend helped me complete my first mod. We installed the Stillen Intake and Z tube, I punked out and didn't use the metal support bracket that came with the kit, because it meant that I would have to drill in to my baby. Happy with the out come, now I just gotta find the time to do the 10 other mods that i've bought and never have installed.
I didnt do much today but yesterday i took some pics (posted a thread in the photo area), changed out my faulty ballasts on my fogs, treated my seats, and drove the hell out of it all day (crusing of course).
Bought a case of Valvoline 5w-30 Full Synthetic Motor oil (12 quarts = $90 ), 1 Wix oil filter and two Gates belts.
Changed the oil, cleaned all the salt off the undercarriage, swapped to my 22's, put in a 15 A fuse for my center lighter (and what is going on there, it never worked and I found out that there wasn't even a fuse in there. Not even a blown fuse, just no fuse...) then ran out of time and had to feed the baby=)
Baby finally went to sleep again and swapped the BMW 325xi winter tires to massive 16 inch summer wheels:rolleyes:. Amazing how much easier and lighter 16's are vs 22's! Also swapped out winter floor mats to carpet in both cars.
I'm not sure if I'm a fan of putting wheels on bolts (Infiniti) or putting the wheel on the hub and the lugs being the studs (BMW), if that makes sense. A bit harder to line up the holes on the BMW.
To-do-list that I didn't get to finish for today.
1) Changes out belts on FX45
2) Lamin-x on FX45
3) Swap 3000K 9006 bulbs for 6000K 9006 bulbs for summer
Installed car seat for my princess who's gonna come into this world on Wed.
Congrats! I have a 1 month old. Car seats are not too friendly with bucket seats it seems like. That air bubble thing never line up.

Congrats, too! Less time to work on your fx now, huh?
finally installed the HID fogs!
while trying to get the bumper off i broke some metal clip on the bottom of the grill.. wimped out and decided to install the fogs a ghetto way
basically i removed the coolant tank on passenger side and the intake box on the driver side. i then shoved my hid fogs into the bottom of the bumper, reached in from the top of the engine bay, grabbed the ballast and just mounted it somewhere. Works for now, maybe will make a more permanent solution when i can get that damn bumper off without breaking stuff >[
I posted up my wheels for sale int he classifieds section and on ebay ;)
I feel like my joke flew over Logan's head, haha. Maybe I didn't quote the post?
