AeroBFA: I want to thank you for locating this FX. I spoke with the owner (Joe Pfleiger) on Friday evening and we worked out a deal. This appears to be a very solid FX45 and it is EXACTLY what we have been searching for. I have been using the typical search sites for a month and thought this forum would be worth a shot and you all located our FX within hours. It will be shipped next week and I cannot wait to get it in our garage and start the mods. I would recomend Luxury Sport Autos, great transaction.
Ater the usual tint and bulb upgrades, I will be searching for wheels. If anyone has some GTR wheels collecting dust, let me know.
Thanks,
Jeff
Gunmetal GTR's will compliment the blue nicely.
Glad you found the one. Looks like you got a deal
Agreed, after reading your build thread it appears the 10.5's all the way around is the right setup. Love the look of your FX. I have a friend that is building a GTR and I know he will be upgrading wheels as soon as the engine mods are finished. I'm sure this has been covered but are most replacing the grille or doing a paint/clear on it? I want to keep the Mt. Fuji in chrome, but want that to contrast against the black grille. Will the paint/clear sustain the typical road chips that always seem to happen?
It cannot get here fast enough!
Most people who replace the grille go for badge less. Otherwise just paint your existing and mask off/remove the emblem and keep it chrome. If you do right prep it'll hold up quite well
Update: Our Sapphire Blue FX45 arrived last night about 10pm. Yes, it really took 14 days to ship it from Oregan to Tennessee. Somehow it visited Vermont and was stuck in a snow storm in PA but it is here now. Let the fun begin!
Post some pics!

Congratulations on the beautiful color combo! Welcome to the blue crew and lets see some pics :)
Trust me when I say that no one wants to see it right now. The drive from Vermont to TN over the weekend really took it's toll on the car. To say that it was encased in salt and grime would be understatement. I was washing it at midnight last night and I'm counting the hours until I get out of the office today, tonight will be clean and wax night! Once it's blue again...I will post pics. I have not seen it in the sunlight, so I'm excited about that as it's sitting in the garage now waiting on me to get home!
dont procrastinate on the photos, or else your BLUE FX might be black/silver again
Congrats on finding the Color combo.
Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the 45 family! Looking forward to seeing the clean proud pappa pics![]()
I guess its OK to high jack my own thread...cannot post pics until I hit 10 Posts so please be patient with me.

What kind of leather conditioner did you use? I bought Leatherique a few weeks ago, but plan on conditioning it when it gets warmer.
Yes!!! Thanks for not leaving me hanging...now, let me try to get these pics uploaded. Going to take some in the sun tomorrow so forgive me on the garage shots.

I'm using a product called SmartLeather. It goes on like lotion and does not leave the leather greasy to the touch. It really softens the leather and reduces the creases you typically see. It really helped this black leather. I used this on our G35 Coupe and our Honda Pilot and love it. Would recomend it. Now, to figure out how to post these pics!
