Wheels / Suspension Crashed and Insurance didnt fix properly?

hey guys , so i crashed in the snow and took it to geico, they fixed the body work, and the rim had a small portion edged in when i hit the post, so they remolded the wheel and claim to have done the alignment properly but, the car pulls to the right, on a straight road it'll slowly gradually pull right but if the road is a lil bumpy, it goes nuts towards the right, i talked to the insurance , and the garage i took it to and the manager simply said " maybe your not use to driving it " , i was at work and couldnt tell him how retarded he sounded, but anyway, i was thinking of taking her over to le shwab or the dealership to check, which would you recommend on doing? and any idea's on what might be causing this? thanks

You need to talk to the insurance and tell them the car still is not fixed correctly. The shop they sent you to says the car is fixed but it is pulling to the right. And the shop does not want to help you anymore. You only have a small period of time after the repair to make sure you're satisfied. Obviously you're not. Ask insurance if you can take it to another shop or to an Infiniti Dealership to have the car checked out. Insurance may say yes, but its their descretion, and may tell you to go back to the shop that's not helping you.

+1 sounds about right. Def talk to your insurance company first. All cars will pull slightly to the right on public roads because of the 5 degree pitch engineered for drainage. If you do notice it more than before, sounds like it very well could be out of alignment, or just barely within specs. At the body shop I work at we don't mess around with refurbished wheels, we always go new replacement. That might be a contributing factor since wheel specs have a small amount of tolerance to be considered acceptable. The refinishing of a wheel will remove and add new material, it is possible that it was not re-weighted properly or at all. What an outsourced repair shop considers acceptable for an alignment and what the Infiniti dealership considers acceptable may be the difference you are feeling with the pull.

In this case nothing wrong with the insurance yet from what I'm reading, but what is wrong with Geico? What did the 15 complain about?

I don't have Geico. I have AAA and love them, but I'm just curious because I know quite a few people that have Geico and are pleased.

I would call the adjuster on your claim and explain the situation. In my experience as long as the adjuster can verify the problem they will fix it without any issue. Also if the did do an alignment ask for a copy of the report which will show the car specs before and after.

I did call the adjuster and she said they fixed it to the specs of the car, and said i could take it to the dealership / le shwab to check again and if anything they'll fix from there, im leasing the car and i dont know if this will affect me in anyway? i dont think it should as its a weather related accident, geico is alright, pricey , but alright, how much are you paying for your insurance guys?

I would take it to the dealership to get checked out then. Any at fault claim against your policy will result in surcharges. When I had my G35 and got into an accident they claimed they aligned it but had to do it again to get it right. Good luck in getting it fixed.

Surcharges are fees applied by the insurance companies to your policy because of claim activity. It does not effect your lease just your insurance policy.

Geico is rated very low when it comes to end user satisfaction. Maybe they should quit paying that lizard so much frigging money.

Sounds like your car was not fixed properly- a shop issue. This doesn't sound like an insurance issue to me- GEICO agreed to pay for the damage, and the shop did not make the appropriate repairs. I'd say your only recourse is vs. the shop. Unless if GEICO has a satisfaction guarentee and it is their personally owned shop, I think you're sol vs the Insurance.

For the record, I had GEICO and they paid two claims for me...no issues whatsoever. I was then dropped (for having two claims, even though both were 'not at fault') and am now with Progressive.
