How do you like your 15mm spacers? Do the tires flush with the 15 mm spacers?

15mm isnt fully flushed but it's in perfect alignment with the mudguards . You def can do 20mm but 25mm might be risky.

Soon, anything new planned for GG? Not sure which is better the great ride or the guy who continues to create AVA art thanklessly. Has to be some kind of award for this altruistic behavior. Just another one of the reasons the site feels so clean and focused is the mem
ber imagery, pride in the ride baby!

Damn, that's some impressive deadening work man

yes, I would of felt bad if you stayed that late. It's beginning to become a "1 door a week project" (my soft office hands isn't ready for this.)

How much different is this compared to dynamite? And how hard has it been installing it?

The product Soon used (B-Quiet) is a competitor to dynamat, works better, and costs less.

Everything is so nicely done, down to the sound deadening/quiet ride (how do you like it BTW?) Only one thing left for you my friend, more power. Not crazy power, just a nice bump. Come up with a plan. Take that guy in Brooklyn out for coffee and discuss best steps within a cost frame, minimal down time, reliability. No commitments....If you still love the car and you know you do this is the next step.

Had it wash the day before and able to snap some quick photos. GF got me driving her this morning to 2 TARGETS for her JasonWu spring clothing collection. Supposedly, it's an limited collection thingy.

So being on the highway with the front 2 doors deaden got my ears tricked, I hear wind leaks and lots of road noise from the rear. Guess I have to wait 2 more weeks to get a final feel/review.

No pics of the dresses but some FX tho (android camera).

Deadening performance is at par but at a better cost rate. Easy to apply in warmer temps, first degrease, 2nd prepare surface after alcohol cleaning, cut sheets, apply and pressure roll.

yes, B-Quiet Ultimate is def not overly expensive. I'm happy after following Turbocad's advice in purchasing.

I'm still far from your FX status. And yes, she did score about ~10 pieces of stuff.

ha, that is one drawback to deadening. the more sound you "remove" the more obvious the remaining sound is. by blocking out a lot of the background noise then noises that were before indistinguishable now can be heard and pinpointed. they were there before, but they were masked in a symphony of background noise. the more noise you remove the more localized noises you will be able to pin out...

Another productive night, 3rd door = DONE and only took ~3 hrs .

Plastic was carefully removed and no factory sound deadening at all. Was able to lay bigger sheets onto door skin. Pics below:

Nice work again, Soon. Is this tedious process really worth it? Is the interior noticeably quieter or do the doors sound less "tinny"? This is something I would do very slowly like you, if you notice good results.

Had the final door done today, yes I would say it's well worth the work. Road noise is noticeably lowered, Bose door speakers have a deeper and richer sound. Closing of the doors has no tinny sound, feeling more luxurious.

Spent a total of ~16 hours, $140 cost of materials , cut up hands and sore muscles .
    Last door, pics below:
