MAINT Window rolls up then down.

I have an 05 Infiniti FX35. Window was broken and I had it replaced. Now there's a problem with the auto up feature. The window will roll up but when it closes, it rolls back a quarter of the way. If I don't use the auto feature, the window will not roll back when closed. The shop closed down so I'd like to do the repair myself.

Sounds like a possible problem with the pinch protection... maybe alignment or adjustment of the window.

i had this happen to me when i got my window broken into.

the body shop ordered aftermarket window, and the window was a lil degree off then the oem ones and that happend. so they ordered me a factory window and it works find.

and second it can be the regulator that is missed up also.

Quick question on this procedure. Do you have to remove the inner door panel (metal panel with about 8 screws) to get to the reset switch. or is it something you can get to after removing the outer door liner panel (interior panel w/window switch).

OK I did this procedure today after being annoyed with the window not rolling up properly, after repairing a door handle. after removing the door panel you'll find the reset button at the center of the door covered by a small circular piece of vinyl. uncover the reset button, follow those procedure in Jeff's pdf DIY post #4 of this thread and your done.
